The 2023 Outstanding NZ Food Producers Awards results are out and we are excited to announce our Mango and Coconut Gelato won Gold in the Free-From category. This on top of winning Gold and being named Category Champion in the 2022 NZ Ice Cream and Gelato Awards.
The Outstanding NZ Food Producers Awards celebrate Kiwis who harvest, grow and make the very best New Zealand food and drinks. This year more than 290 locally harvested, grown and made food and drink products were assessed. The ‘Free-From’ category is new this year and includes food made and marketed to meet the requirements of a specific diet such as gluten-free, dairy-free, carb-free, keto, vegan or meat-free. The category was highly contested with 54 products being assessed and 40 medals awarded in this category. Congratulations from the PURE Team to all the other medal winners this year.

So not only is it dairy-free, it’s also free from artificial preservatives, emulsifiers, stabilisers, colour and flavour enhancers. Premium mango fruit creates a stunning amber ripple through our ultra-smooth and creamy white coconut base. According to the judges this dreamy gelato has a “nice mango aroma and flavour combined with a strong coconut flavour. A great dairy-free gelato option”. We couldn’t agree more!
